2024 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship


Started in 2006, the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship pits the world's premier short and middle-distance athletes against the best IRONMAN competitors in the world.

2019: Nice, France

As the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes on the French Riviera in the southeast coast of France, Nice first hosted an IRONMAN event in 2005 and since then has been one of the most popular locations on the IRONMAN race circuit.. The world championship is the pinnacle event in the IRONMAN 70.3 calendar and with global rotation that began in 2014, it showcases the best venues IRONMAN has to offer around the world.

2020: Taupo New Zealand

Resheduled and then cancelled due to Coviod travel restrictioins, this event has now been re-schedulked to happen in Taupo in December 2024.

Taupõ, New Zealand 

With a strong IRONMAN history that spans 20 years, Taupõ, New Zealand is best known for hosting IRONMAN New Zealand since 1999. The IRONMAN 70.3 Taupõ joined the family in 2015, and has since earned numerous IRONMAN 70.3 Athletes' Choice Awards. Taupõ is a unique and beautiful destination with a local community that has embraced IRONMAN events and the thousands of athletes that have competed there.
